Microbiological contamination

The most frequently isolated micro-organisms from feed ingredients are Escherichia coli or Salmonellae.Prior to distribution feed ingredients should be adequately heat-processed or get any other treatment, to minimise or even eliminate contamination with E. coli, or Salmonella spp. .

Food safety risk: Presence or colonization of Salmonella or E. coli in animals which originates from feed.
