Transport of raw materials

Raw materials for feed industry are often  transported in large quantities over long distances by ship.

The conditions in ships may be such that moisture leads to spoilage by fungi or other micro-organisms. These spoilage problems often occur in so called clusters, and may hide from the regular checks. The effects however can be large for the future consumers, the livestock.

Tracking and tracing is a very important way to keep informed on the transport conditions. Sampling of raw materials should be carried out with great care.
