Transport of hatchery offals

After hatch, chicks are checked for health and separated from the offals such as empty shells and non fertile eggs or un-pipped chicks. These offals are very susceptible to spoilage by a wide variety of micro-organisms, amongst which many potentially pathogens. This flow should be well separated from the vulnerable one day old chicks. Treatments such as crushing and grinding should be carried out in seprate rooms.

Storage and transport should take placce in closed containers or specially designed trucks.
